Environmental Fact Sheet - Laminate

Tarkett Laminate is part of Tarkett’s choice of sustainable solutions, an integrated system that allows for balancing all the competing needs, while making choices that are truly sustainable and work together aesthetically.


  • Contains more than 80% recycled materials
  • More then 95% of raw materials are sourced within 200 miles of the plant
  • Tarkett Laminate Board and Laminate production are on the same site
  • 100% of hardwood for board production is used to improve indentation resistance (IC3 on all products)


  • Condensation from a closed-loop water system is reclaimed, filtered and reused
  • All Display products are AC4 rated for long wear, reducing replacement cycles and have a lifetime warranty against wear
  • All entry level products are AC3 rated for long wear and reduced replacement cycles and are warranted for 20/25 years against wear


  • FloorScoreTM certified for assurance of low-emitting materials and indoor air quality
  • Uses EPP HDF board for compliance with the California Air Regulatory Board
  • Easy to clean and maintain using a neutral floor cleaner and water, eliminating the need for harsh chemicals required by some floors
  • Laminate is hypo-allergenic, will not trap dust and other airborne contaminants, allowing for proper filtration through HVAC systems
  • Coordinated transitions are available for a more aesthetically cohesive space


  • Can be installed without glue and can be easily reinstalled and/or reused in a new room
  • Dust produced in laminate facility is recycled and used as fuel in North American board facilities
  • Scrap boards are used for cabinetry, drawers and packaging
